World Kidney Day is celebrated annually on the second Thursday of March. In 2027 it is on 11th March.
It aims to raise awareness of the importance of our kidneys to our overall health and to reduce the frequency and impact of kidney disease and its associated health problems worldwide.
There is a great need for dialysis in Pakistan with limited availability for those that cannot afford treatment.
Ehsaas donors fully-fund the M.A.R.Z. Dialysis Centre which is located at Fatima Bai Hospital, Karachi. It has 5 machines which can provide 300 sessions per month to those who desperately need dialysis and would not be able to afford the treatment otherwise.
