Ehsaas Foundation Provides Food Relief to Flood-Affected Families in Pakistan

The devastating floods in Pakistan forced hundreds of families to leave behind their homes, farmland, and belongings. With no food supplies or clean water, survival became an immediate challenge. For families already vulnerable, the disaster meant days of hunger and uncertainty.

To respond to this urgent need, Ehsaas Foundation delivered food relief to 100 flood-affected families, ensuring that children, mothers, and elders had access to hot meals and safe water during one of the hardest moments of their lives.

Why Food Relief is Urgent After Floods

When disasters strike, the first struggle families face is hunger. Crops are destroyed, roads are blocked, and local shops vanish under water. For families who have lost everything, a hot meal is more than food; it is energy, comfort, and hope.

Providing meals immediately after a disaster helps communities recover with dignity. It prevents malnutrition in children, reduces health risks, and reassures families that they are not alone in their struggle.

Supporting 100 Families With Nutritious Meals

As part of its emergency relief efforts, Ehsaas Foundation distributed freshly prepared hot meals and clean drinking water to 100 families.

Each family received:

  • A freshly cooked meal
  • Safe drinking water
  • A packet of biscuits for children

For mothers and fathers, it meant being able to feed their children with confidence. For children, it meant a moment of relief and joy after days of hunger. For the elderly, it was a reassurance that they are cared for during this difficult time.

Extending Relief Beyond Multan

The initiative in Multan is part of a larger relief program by Ehsaas Foundation. Through the Hot Meal Distribution Program, the Foundation is reaching flood-affected communities in Kabirwala, Peerwala, Layyah, and Muzaffargarh.

Every single day, 100 families receive food packages consisting of a hot meal, safe drinking water, and a small snack for children. This program ensures that even those outside the camp have access to nutrition and dignity in their daily struggle.

Support at the Relief Camp

Alongside food distribution, Ehsaas Foundation has established a 30-day Rescue and Relief Camp in Multan to provide ongoing care for 100 families. The camp facilities include:

  • 42,000 hot meals served throughout the month
  • 7 sanitation units installed for clean use
  • 100 hygiene kits to improve health and safety
  • A medical camp with daily care
  • Clean water access through hand pumps and jerry cans
  • Shelter with tents and tarpaulin floorings
  • Mosquito nets to prevent disease

This approach ensures that families are not just surviving but regaining stability in the face of loss.

How You Can Support More Families

The delivery of food relief to 100 families is only a beginning. Thousands more remain in desperate need of food, clean water, and medical care.

By contributing today, you can:

  • Provide meals and water to families who have nothing
  • Support children with essential nutrition
  • Expand relief programs to more flood-hit districts

Your generosity fuels every meal, every tent, and every drop of clean water provided.

Together, we can continue to stand with families who have lost everything.
