Once our team and surveyors select an area that desperately requires a Masjid, depending on the location, it can take up to a year to construct the Masjid.
In addition, during the ‘monsoon’ season and rains, there can be a delay, as there was with last year’s floods. But after any natural delays, our aim is to re-start construction as soon as possible.
As an organisation, Ehsaas does not promote or negate any Islamic ‘School of Thought’. However, Masjid’s are only built according to those following ‘mainstream Islam’ and within Government accepted groups, guidelines and criteria.
The Masjid’s are built in areas where there is a desperate need to help and make it easier for the community to practice Islam and teach their children and adults.
Our aim and the aim of building Masjids is to help people follow Islam rather than stray away from it because of a lack of facilities and resources.
We do not dictate to local communities so that they can have full ‘ownership’ of the Masjid to ensure that it is used and is beneficial to that community. As such, the local community sets up a committee that takes care of the Masjid.
Whatever ‘School of Thought’ the majority of the local community follows, will usually be what the Masjid and Imam will be based on.
However as a ‘House of Allah’, it will be open to all the local community.
Our team of experts will build the Masjid in an area that is in most need.

Yes. However, we require at least a month’s written notification (this can be emailed) prior to your visit. You will also need to fulfil the requirements in our ‘safeguarding’ policy. Once verified, our local team members can liaise and get permission from the local community and arrange logistics and security beforehand to be able to take you to the Masjid. There may be costs involved but you will be notified of these beforehand.
